Online marketing can be a very worthwhile opportunity, but if not done properly it can be a massive drain on your cash and leave you with a skimpy marketing budget. Here are 5 points to keep in mind when choosing your online marketing course.

1) Cost
2) Learn at your own pace
3) Wide open mentor-ship
4) Transparent skill-set
5) On the job training

First we’ll discuss cost. There are a mixture of programs; therefore, there are a variety of costs. Some programs have expensive up-front costs and some that bill you monthly. Some courses have very economical pricing, and some that are just overpriced. Depending on what you’re marketing online, you must choose a course that is most advantageous to you. For example, if you are in an MLM and your MLM crosses over well with the internet, you’ll want a marketing course that caters specifically towards building your MLM down-line by teaching you how to generate both free and paid leads.

Second, you’ll want to choose an online marketing course that allows you to learn at your own pace. A good marketing course will teach you to take one strategy, comprehend it, and move on to a new strategy. Find effective strategies for you, strategies that you are comfortable with. If you only have a couple of hours a week in the beginning of your training, that is okay. A low monthly membership fee would allow for that growth and commitment level to rise with your new skills and offset the learning curve.

The third point is mentor-ship; you’ll want a training course that has quality instructors. There are a ton of awesome online marketers out there; just find a successful marketer with a similar story or background to yours and follow them. Do what they do. You don’t even have to be on their team, most have blogs and videos, all at your fingertips to study and execute in your own campaigns. Have as many instructors as you want to; even contact most of them and ask some questions. If they’ve got anything figured out, most would be thrilled to help out a “newbie”.

Fourth is learning a transparent skill-set. You want a training curriculum that teaches marketing techniques for any product; whether you are marketing dog hats or terrorist repellent. You want to learn techniques that make use of the internet to get your product right in front of the people who are dying to get a hold of it. The internet really is that powerful and business online is booming.

Last but not least, most online marketing courses get you set up within a couple of hours and you can start marketing today. If you’re new to the game it could take a couple of days to get set up but as soon as you are, you can follow a few simple strategies and start producing leads for your business!

There are lots of canned marketing courses out there. Don’t get caught up in the hype, do your due-diligence and look over each one carefully and find the right one that suits your online marketing needs. Make sure you are getting education that you can use, not another sales pitch for more training. Those are old-school sales funnel tactics that end up burning you in the long-run anyways. So make sure you are getting some usefulness up front, and start marketing!

Making money on the internet involves the use of some well thought out and effective marketing strategies. No matter what it is you’re trying to sell you will have to institute a multi-faceted marketing plan to establish and grow your business.

Marketing online requires that you not only promote to your targeted customer base but also focus on positioning yourself favorably with the search engines as well.

Let’s review 7 key core strategies you’ll need to include in your marketing mix to achieve success online.

Professional Looking Website

Your website is the window thru which the world will view your business. Keep your website clean and professional looking. Try not to go overboard on the graphics since this will only make your site load slower giving visitors the chance to click away.

Optimize Website for Search Engines

Be sure your website has a title, description, and utilizes keywords throughout that accurately reflect the site content. This is important so that search engines can use this information to display your site in any search results targeting content such as yours.

Collect Contact Information

List building is an important strategy that will pay you dividends well into the future. By collecting the names and contact info of those who have visited your site, you are saving yourself additional marketing efforts in the future.

List building allows you to repeatedly market to those who have shown an interest in your products in the past. Your list contains very highly targeted traffic and being you worked hard to get them to your site to begin with it makes sense not to waste that effort.

Promote to Your List

You collected names at your website for a reason so don’t waste the value of your list by not promoting to them. This could be one of the most effortless but most effective aspects of your entire marketing campaign.

Social Network Marketing

The growing popularity of social network marketing has taken the internet marketing community by storm. The power of viral marketing is one of the most efficient ways in which to market anything and the social networks offer plenty of that.

Write Articles

Article writing and press releases are another great way to spread the word about your business and these methods of marketing are free. Once submitted to the appropriate online directories your business is now on display for the entire internet community.

Post to a Blog

Posting to blog about your niche and your business is a great way in which to initiate interaction with the internet community and to build up a following. Blogs also are a great way to help boost your search engine ranking due to the fondness search engines have for the fresh content normally found on blogs.

The 7 marketing strategies we reviewed above will be instrumental in helping you to make money on the internet. It is important to be aware that marketing online will involve the use of many other strategies as well. However the ones discussed here will play a fundamental role in the success of your business and should always be included in your marketing plan.

There is a whole lot to learn if you are a newbie who is just learning about all of this. Internet marketing for newbies can be quite a frustrating experience as there are quite a few different skill sets to learn and eventually master that have to do with the technical side, like building a website, linking, search engines and such. There is one key skill that people tend to overlook.

Hands down, one of the most important Internet marketing for newbies tips is that you must beef up your writing skills. This is something you can one day hire someone to do for you, but you need to get a good sense yourself first as to what is important about the writing, and how to write it in a way that will get readers to want to click through. Most experienced Internet marketers will advise you to do the writing yourself until you make some money, then you can hire others. Some people prefer to hire out some of the other stuff instead.

The biggest mistake people make is writing too much. That means too many words as well as too much information. The average person today, lives in an instant world and does not want to spend a lot of time reading everything you possibly know on the subject. Like the Dragnet guys used to say, “Just the facts.” They will get the nitty gritty details when they click to your website.

What you can do is try to get back into the high school frame of mind and remember about the five paragraph format. An introduction that tells the reader what the article is about, three or four paragraphs on specific points you want to make and a conclusion is all that you need. It ends up being about 400-600 words, which is what the average reader’s attention span can handle. Many skim from the introduction to the conclusion, so those two become very important.

When it comes to too much information you find a balance between grabbing their interest, sounding like you know what you are talking about but leave them wanting more so they will click to your website. If you tell them everything you know on a topic, there is no reason to click and go to the website to find out more and then hopefully buy something.

At the same time, you don’t want it to sound like fluff and just filler. Then you do not come across as an authority on the topic and they will go elsewhere. One effective strategy is to write only about one point. That leaves them wanting to know more, and they click through to your site for more information.

As you can see for this article about Internet marketing for newbies tips, I only wrote about the importance of beefing up your writing. This is a skill you will use in all the other parts you have to learn from making website, putting good content on it, to all the strategies there are for driving traffic to your site.

Starting an online business directory can be pretty easy, but if you have no clue of where and how to start then by reading this article it will help you to get started.

Step One:

The first thing you need to know about starting a business directory online is what is your target market going to be, in other words what kind of businesses do you eventually want to include in your new business directory.

If you already have a current business online or offline then you will already know your target market, and you can move forward to step two in this article.

However, if you have no idea what your target market will be, then you will need to do some research, I would recommend starting a business directory about something popular and which is going to earn you an income down the road or. That will gradually help grow your current business.

Here are some very popular and profitable niches for an online business directory you could start.

1: RealEstate Directory

2: Travel Directory

3: Online Dating Directory

4: Automotive Directory

5: Fashion Directory

There are so many more and to find them just go to eBay.com or Amazon.com and see what is popular on those sites, or you could go to Google and do a search for keyword terms like “Hot Niches” or “Popular Niches” or “Popular Business” get the idea..

Then after you have decided on the niche for your new business directory, you will need to either buy or register your domain name.

Step Two:

Buying or registering the right domain name for your new online business directory will be the most important thing, so you need to make sure you get this correct from the start.

A good domain name should be no longer than two to three words, and it should contain the name of the niche and the word directory in it and should always be a .com if you can help it other wise you should go for the .net domain if the .com for the domain you want is already taken and is not for sale.

Therefore, for example if I was going to start a new business directory about the niche real estate the ideal domain name would be RealEstateDirectory.com or RealEstateDirectory.net but all good domain names like this have already been taken, but they may be up for sale so just visit the website and see.

If you find the domain name is not for sale then you could also try adding a dash between the two words.. Like this RealEstate-Directory.com or RealEstate-Directory.net and see if they have been taken or not, and if they are taken see if they are for sale.

If you have to go with a three word domain name you could enter something like your town or city name in front of the domain so it could be.. Like this NewYorkRealEstateDirectory.com or NewYorkRealEstateDirectory.net and see if it has been taken.

A great free online resource I have found to help brain storm a new domain name and see if they have been taken or not is RegistrarStats.com, give them a try.

Once you have found the domain name for your new online business directory it is time to register it, I recommend Godaddy.com for this as they are the cheapest and offer the best services.

Step Three:

Now that you have got your domain name for your new online business directory it is time to find a hosting company, and I have tried many and the best I have found is SeoHosting.com which is owned by HostGator.com, and they have been around for a very long time and they have thousands of happy customers.

Step Four:

Now that you have got your hosting account for your new online business directory it is time to build the directory.

Now you could do this a number of different ways but it all comes down to the amount of money you wish to spend.

If money is not an option for you, then I would recommend hiring a PHP coder from a website like RentaCoder.com or ScriptLance.com or eLance.com and get them to build a custom solution for you, this way you will make your new business directory stand out from all the other cookie cutter directories that are online these days using an off the shelf PHP directory script.

Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with these types of scripts, and we use one our self for our own Link Directory, but we have gone a step further and have had a custom template created for our directory which has turned out to be a very good investment.

The directory script we use and recommend if you are on a very limited starting budget is PhpLinkDirectory.com.

Step Five:

Now we come to the final step and which is promoting your new business directory, this can be done with or without spending money.

I will list five free options and five paid options below you can start to help get the word out about your directory.

Free Options:

1: Join online forums and discussion groups related to your new business directory and make a post inviting business owners to list their website/business in your directory for free or at a discounted rate.

2: This one is related to 1: make sure you add a Sig line linking to your directory in all the posts you make in the forums you have joined.

3: Submit your business directory to other free link directories online, just do a search in Google for the key word Link Directory.

4: Link to your business directory from your other websites that you already own or run this way the search engines will find your directory and index it.

5: Send out and email to friends or customers and ask them to link back to your business directory and in exchange link back to their website from your directory if it is relevant.

Paid Options:

1: Start a Google Adwords campaign to instantly start driving traffic to your business directory, but be careful because if you do not know what you are doing with Adwords you could end up spending a lot of money without any results.

2: Buy some paid links from other websites or directories that are similar to your own business directory.

3: Submit your business directory to the Yahoo directory at a cost of $299 per year. Being listed in the yahoo directory will make your directory more creditable in the eyes of the search engines and your visitors.

4: Buy some advertising in offline news papers if your directory targets businesses in your local area.

5: Buy banner ads on other websites that relate to your business directory and try and to negotiate for a 6-12 month period because your can greatly reduce you’re over all banner advertising costs.

I quit my job in 2006 to work from home full time. The journey to starting and running a successful home-based business online has been fun at times, challenging at times and just plain stressful other times. This article will describe some of the most important aspects to starting most businesses on the internet.

Starting Tip 1 – Research

You can start your online business without research, I did it, and boy I’ll tell you I did it the hard way! I floundered around from business to business until I finally hit on something that worked. You can make it a lot easier to find what works the first time by doing your research and finding out what people are already looking for and where they’re going to get it.

If you’re completely new to a certain market online and are not familiar with what they need at all, the first place you’ll want to start is with keyword research. A lot of people think keyword research is just for the part when you get to the search engines. This is just not true. You should actually be building your whole business around keywords if you’re starting from scratch. It’s a great way to make sure what you’re building is what people are looking for.

Starting Tip 2 – Mentors

Having people there who’ve had the same types of experiences and problems as you’ve had saves you so much time and money. Now when I say mentor I’m not just talking about someone who’s blog you read. I’m talking about someone or a group of someone’s who you most likely PAY to help you with your business.

Why do you have to pay?

Well, quite honestly the people who’ve been there and made money doing what you want to do are busy. And if they can offer you the kind of advice you need from an experienced person to skip over the things that tripped them up it’s likely going to cost some money. You don’t have to pay thousands and thousands for one on one types coaching and mentoring. You could just as well (and sometimes much better) pay a much smaller monthly or yearly fee to join a
mentoring forum where there are others like you as well as the mentor or mentors running the group. Just get a mentor, and do it soon.

Start looking for someone you can relate to, who has the same kind of business you want to have. You may not find the right person at first, but don’t worry, you can always switch mentors later!

Starting Tip 3 – Work Out the Details As You Go

I’ve learned that there are so many details to running a small business online that you can’t possibly learn them all before you start your business. Some of the most successful people are those who see the vision in their head first and then work out the details as they go along. This is the way you keep moving forward without too many of the small things tripping you up. You can spend forever on the small details if you want to – choose not to!

Starting Tip 4 – Do Your Best Job

It sometimes surprises me when clients are so happy with the work I’m doing for them when I’m just doing what I feel is ‘good’ work – basically by doing my best. The truth is that good help is hard to find and because I do a very good job at what I do my clients really appreciate that.

This is a place where you do want to pay attention to some of the ‘little details’ and make sure your clients or customers know they are appreciated. As new customers and clients come in to your new business start thinking about the fact that your clients and customers are also your best source of new business so don’t ignore them and go off looking for more and more business all the time. Make sure you’ve taken care of the happy clients and do your best with them and it will pay you back big time.

There is an interplay of factors which makes internet marketing to work; this may not be an easy question to answer. Internet marketing is dependent on techniques and on the way and manner these techniques are used. The attitude of target audience is also a factor, their possibility of visiting your site and patronizing your efforts are factors to be considered in web marketing.

The first factor to always consider before embarking in web marketing is the target audience. The internet is opened to millions of people all over the world that does not guarantee a visit to your site. Before deciding to market any item be sure you have the target audience. It is necessary to know this before investing your time, energy and resources into a venture that may not yield return in investment.

To avoid this pitfall it is necessary to conduct a research on whether you should engage in web marketing for your business or not. The findings should convince you on whether it is worthwhile venturing into marketing your internet product. This can effectively be handled by research firms which are experts in conducting quick research. Their findings should be your drawing line. If they recommend your business can thrive in web marketing it is then time to oil your online advertising machine for a kill.

In online marketing it is worthwhile to seek the services of professional internet advertisers or marketers. If you are not a professional in this area professionals can be engaged as consultants to work out which marketing option will be efficient, and design advert campaign message, and also help evaluate which methods are working and not working.

If it is working there is no end to success one can make in internet marketing. You can only limit yourself by your use of working strategies to execute the internet marketing business. There are internet marketing tools at your disposal to deploy to work they include website optimization, links placement, e-newsletter publication and effective use of affiliates to promote your products and services.

The search engine optimization is one good internet marketing strategy that should be used effectively. SEO is very important; it determines the place websites occupy in search engine ranking. In internet marketing it is well known that web visitors have little or no time for websites which does not occupy a good place in search engine rankings.

Inbound links are good internet marketing strategy. Inbound links comes from another website redirecting researchers to your own webpage. The inbound links are used by search engines in ranking websites. They should be used effectively to generate more traffic into your website which will mean more business.

Another great internet marketing strategy is affiliate marketing campaign. Affiliates are site owners who advertise for another site by placing add banner on their own site. They are compensated when purchase are made following the affiliate link or when they register or fill up a survey form at your website. It is a cost effective way of carrying on internet marketing, and you can only pay when someone following the affiliate add banner to patronize your site.

The Internet Marketing industry is one of the biggest and most profitable industries today. With the uncertain state of today’s economy and job security non existent, more people are turning to the Internet for ways to earn some extra money or even start an online business as a back up plan in case they lose their jobs.

Since more people are turning to the Internet for income, there is also a growing demand for products that teach people how to make money online and for this reason there is an IM product launch almost every week. The growing market and increased demand has made Internet Marketing product creation very profitable and promoting these products as an affiliate, a very rewarding alternative source of income.

Since there are so many product launches happening all around and so many other IM products already in the market, it is not surprising that many newbies find it hard to decide what products to promote, and many end up wasting their efforts on poorly chosen products. Several don’t recoup their advertising costs and even more feel that the minimal commissions they make did not make up for their efforts.

This is a problem that can be solved from the start by simply knowing how to choose the right products. Here are a set of easy to follow steps that will show you how to choose the right products to promote.

First of all when it comes to Internet Marketing products, it is best to promote a product that is about to launch and not a product that has already been launched.

So you need to find these soon to launch products and to do that, you need to create an account at http://www.jvnotifypro.com which is a website where product owners recruit affiliates and JV partners for their soon to launch products. After signing up you will start to receive updates about product reviews and receive JV and affiliate invitations, via email. The next step is to filter out these product launch invitations by using 3 simple criteria.

Commission

Find a product that should be worth your while, typically a product that pays you at least $20 commission per sale should be good.

Product Owner Reputation

Do a little research to verify the reputation of the product owner, making sure that the person is not only well known to have launched good products in the past, but does not have any issues with regards to paying commissions.   A product that is launched through ClickBank is good, this means that you are going to get paid two weeks after your commission payout threshold is met. Product owners who run their own affiliate programs will pay you only after the refund period has elapsed, so if they offer a three month refund guarantee, you won’t get your commissions until after three months. What’s worse is, it will sometimes take longer because of the pay-out process time. ClickBank is the best place to start.

Product Benefit and Market Demand

You need to determine if there is a high demand for the product and that can be done by simply checking if there are other similar competing products that are out in the market. Identify the benefits the product offers and the problems it solves for its users, then see if there are other products in the market that also provide the same benefits and and solve the same problems. Take a look at the Google AdWords ads for keywords that relate to the product and see if the competing products are being advertised on AdWords for these same keywords.

If you find competitors, and if you find that there are high volume keywords on AdWords that are used to promote the competitors, this is a good sign.

Finally, ask yourself if you would actually buy the product. If you would not, then don’t waste your time reviewing a product that you won’t even buy. This only shows that you lack confidence in the product and if you can’t find the confidence to buy it, how can you convince someone else to do so.

Once you have identified a product to review, sign up as an affiliate and go ahead to write your Internet Marketing product review.

Entrepreneurship is becoming an attractive solution both to the global unemployment problem and for those looking to change direction from their current 9 to 5 job. If you are reading articles like this one you are interested in what opportunities are available in starting your own online home business.

There are many different types of home businesses available and one of the most rapidly growing areas is the online industry. The take-up of the internet is explosive worldwide and particularly in Australia. There are many good reasons for the popularity of an online business and some of the foremost of these is the growth potential, time flexibility and the portability of the venture.

There will always be some basic costs involved no matter what sort of business you start, and with an online business there will be the cost of your web page and hosting, plus the normal ongoing advertising costs, but these are minimal compared to the outlay of setting up your bricks and mortar business premises. Depending on the product that you are going to market, you may not have any need to personally purchase or handle any stock.

When you start a home based internet business you can choose whether you market in just your own country or go directly to the global market. This is an amazing concept, that within a very short time-span, you can get your business in front of such a large community of people, anything from hundreds of thousands to millions. Unless you are an already established international company, what other vehicle than the internet, could provide this sort of coverage?

When you have an online business your “shop front” is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Your web page which is your shop, never sleeps, and is always available for your potential customers to browse and gain information about your product and they will therefore be making an informed choice when they actually contact you. If you plan to start a home business while still working in your 9 to 5 job, then an online business is ideal as the internet will be working for you while you are still working at your current job.

The time flexibility of a home business is advantageous for those that are still working, Mothers with children of all ages and for those that want extra time to pursue leisure activities that they cannot when working full time. There is also the time saved in travelling to and from your bricks and mortar place of work. Then there is the portability factor – you will not have to live within a short travelling distance to a busy centre to take advantage of the passing traffic for your business. You also are not tied to your business premises as you can get reception for your lap top and use a mobile phone in the most far flung of places.

When you have the right training, support and business system, your online business can expand and grow to give you the financial freedom and great lifestyle that you deserve. The sky is the limit for those of you that have drive and commitment to making your new venture a success – if others can do it, what is stopping you from starting a successful home based internet business today?

Building an online business from scratch is not a complex, theoretical, or even mystical machine. In fact, the entire process can be (and should be) broken down into a few basic steps. Sadly, most of the foundation gets lost in widgets and gadgets – many of which are very good, but need a foundation to build upon.

Search engine optimization, pay-per-click, article marketing, keyword research, and all of the other supposed “steps” of building an online business mean absolutely nothing without a proper foundation. Building this foundation can be broken into five major steps: picking a market, building a website, creating an offer, marketing the offer, and scaling. These four steps are explained below:

Step 1: Pick A Market (also known as “choosing a niche”)
You can run advertising out your ears (and pay out the wazoo in the process), but if the people you’re targeting don’t spend money, then you’re not going to get any of it.

There are four major markets: health, wealth, relationships, and expensive hobbies (“pets” is one rare exception to this rule, although it may be considered an expensive hobby). These four major markets have been proven to contain buyers and many “evergreen” niches, and your first attempt at building an online business should be in a market that fits into one of them.

Each major market can be divided into a variety of different subgroups (niches). For example, “health” covers muscle building, weight loss, running, alternative medicine, six-pack abs, and on and on. Relationships can cover weddings, marriage repair, long distance relationships, networking, dating, and on and on. The niche you choose should cover a subgroup of one of the major four markets – if it does not fit into one of the four big markets, then it’s time that you reconsidered your niche.

A good niche must be proven to spend money (look for a good amount of competition, repeat buyers, and the potential for several and expensive products), have multiple complimentary products to sell, and be large enough to scale.

Some of my favorite niches include muscle building, weight loss, investing, hypnosis, and alternative medicine.

Step Two: Build A Website
This step could be skipped in this outline, but past surveys have suggested that as much as 80% of would-be internet entrepreneurs never reach the point of owning their own website. This is completely unacceptable, because it takes about six minutes to have a functional website in place.

- Signup for an account at HostGator (it’ll run you about $6 to start)
- Choose a domain name (relate it to your chosen niche)
- Install WordPress on your host using Fantastico (Google it)
- Add SqueezeTheme to your website.
- Learn how to use WordPress (YouTube videos abound)

Step Three: Create An Offer
Your offer is the entire foundation of your business. Getting traffic, optimizing your website, and the latest gadgets and software mean nothing if you have no offer. For most people, this means selling a product (you may have heard the term “front end offer”). However, an offer is just some sort of exchange. For many people, an offer is the simply exchange of a piece of content for piece of contact information.

Collecting someone’s email address is a means of exchange; a visitor gives you his or her email address in exchange for your bribe or content piece. This simple exchange can be the front end offer of your business, because it can now be scaled.

At the most basic level, your offer can be derived from a “hook” that is on a product’s sales page, or a YouTube video that solves a common problem had by your niche. A more complex offer would be an interview that you conducted with a product owner. Whatever you use as your hook, your offer should always be monetized as soon as you capture the lead. At a basic level, a short piece of content received after someone opts in should be followed by an affiliate link.

In doing this, you accomplish a few things:
- build a customer list that can be sold to again and again
- monetize the traffic that comes to the website
- structure the foundation of an offer than can be scaled and tweaked

Keep your business simple by using AWeber to collect email addresses and create opt-in pages so that you can have offers on your websites. Once in place, create follow up sequences that provide content for your subscriber base while including a call-to-action.

Step Four: Market Your Offer
Traffic generation, testing, and advertising mean little until an offer is established in a buyers’ niche. (This is why most people who attempt to build a business by just writing articles are building a house on the sand.) When a proper foundation is in place, it is only then that marketing becomes relevant.

Your offer solves a problem that your niche has, and if it is compelling enough, then it will convert. If it does not convert, then test it until it does convert. To do this, use Google Analytics to test the headline, the opt-in box, the copy, and the very bribe to increase your conversion rate.

Now, article marketing, pay-per-click, optimizing your page for the search engines, Facebook ads, or any other means of promotion make sense, because they each funnel back to your offer. Most people make the mistake of getting good at each of these strategies without ever having an offer to promote. That’s why most people have ‘head knowledge’ of online marketing but never make a dime online. However, with a winning offer in place, you can grab as much traffic as possible with the knowledge that it will be profitable.

For those wary of spending money for advertising, writing articles to promote your offer makes the most sense. Stick with EzineArticles.com, because quality articles get picked up and republished by other website owners. You can use the Bum Marketing Method (BumMarketingMethod.com) to target keywords with little competition, giving you an immediate boost in traffic with every article that you submit.

Consistent article marketing alone will send a stream of visitors to your offer, and if you’ve connected with your market, then you’ll start to receive opt-ins. And if your follow up sequence is successful at selling relevant products to your subscribers, then each opt-in will bring back dollars.

When your offer is proven to be valuable, then you can begin buying traffic and/or establishing long-term traffic sources, including search engine optimization, media buys, and pay per click.

Step Five: Scale
Your offer is profitable, and there are plenty more products to promote, because you’re in a buying market. Your list is growing, and every new subscriber puts more money in your pocket.

To take it to the next level, you need to fight for every inch. They can come from a few sources:

- increasing conversions
- increasing traffic
- selling more products
- selling your own products
- expanding your reach by creating new offers

Increasing your conversions allows you to make more money with the same amount of traffic. This can only come from testing new elements of your offer.

Since each new subscriber puts money into your pocket, you can afford to pay for traffic to get more subscribers. Most of your money should come from the backend of your business, allowing you to break even on the front end. If you’re making money on the front end of your business, then there’s room for you to be more aggressive in your traffic generation; increase your ad spend and broaden your reach.

As your customer base stays with you longer, you can continue to sell new products. Participate in product launches, test different types of products to your list, and review products within your market. Do not get locked into selling just one product to your market; continue adding more and more products into your sales funnel.

As you do so, you’ll become an authority in your market, and others in your industry will respect you, reach out to you, and desire for you to be a part of their network. At this point, you may be ready to launch your own products, and you have the customer base to do it. If you’ve only ever been an affiliate, then this alone can triple and quadruple your income, because you control the chain (and other affiliates will begin selling it for you).

Even if you never feel comfortable rolling out your own products, you can expand your reach by targeting other segments of your market. Creating new offers within the same market allows you to reach new types of customers in the same market and expand your overall influence in the industry.
